Hello,
This is going to sound like it is coming from far left field.  I don't have friends, and can't get out of the house much.  I know how this is going to sound and I apologize if I seem to be the biggest begger in history, but I have no other outlet nor way of doing this.  So, at the risk of losing the final bit of dignity I have left, I ask.  Because you all work in a field where you may have contact with people who might be able to help, I ask.  My computer, one given to me a while ago by a friend, after my  house fire, is nearly 9 years old.. a dell inspiron 2600 and is on its' last legs.. and soon will fail completely.  This computer and your website is my only recreation...and so my question is this.  Do any of you perhaps know someone with a used computer that they might let go for a cheap price?  I know, I am an idiot asking this of people who don't know me from adam, but I am desperate not to lose my only form of entertainment... and can't just go purchase another around here...I live in the boonies and everything here, including old used up computers go for a premium price...
I hope I haven't overstepped here, and also hope I haven't lost all your respect in doing so.
