Been working on a scene for about a week  and now I`m getting a generic failure message when I try to save. Any suggestions before I throw the PC out the window?

Throw the file out instead and go back to a previous save.

That has happened to me in Bryce 6 because of one particular texture!

Youve nudged my memory, John. It could be the texture name. One of the last obj I imported has a texture name that reads like a short novel. Maybe thats it.
dhama, yeah, thats what Ill have to do if this dont work but I got a head of steam up today and havent saved for hours. Mea culpa.

I have had problems with texture names that are too long. Try copying it with a shorter name?

Sounds like that is the long and the short of it !! Bryce was invented long before the current long name conventions and would probably be more comfortable with the old 8.3. Sounds reasonable to me ! ! !

aha, so that might be the problem because i also had this generic failure thingy for the first time.
