THE PLACE FOR ALL THINGS BRYCE - GOT A PROBLEM? YOU'VE COME TO THE RIGHT PLACE

Subject: Next Bryce object.......... any idea's?

dhama ( ) posted Sun, 13 April 2008 at 8:33 AM ยท edited Fri, 29 November 2024 at 7:46 AM

I'm looking for ideas for my next Bryce object. As you may know, I like to create Landscapes, so the object will be something in that catagory........ and of course, it will end up in Free Stuff again.

Ideas?

Incognitas ( ) posted Sun, 13 April 2008 at 10:51 AM

Some really good rocks?I find the Bryce ones far from satisfactory especially when making aย  texture.

dhama ( ) posted Sun, 13 April 2008 at 11:38 AM

LOL, maybe I didn't explain,ย an objectย thatย would be made exclusivly in Bryce.

If you find Bryce rocks unsatisfactory, you could combine 3 or 4 in the same space and then texture as a grouped object.

I could name objects all day but since you expressed interest in landscapes....

Covered Bridge
Gazebo
Japanese Lantern, arching bridge, Tori or Pagoda.
Any park or garden item like streetlights, benches, gates, fountains, or a good rock wall.

Thanks so much!

The best thing is to do what interests you..that way you disappoint no one and you can maintain interest because it's something you want to do.Working for others has it's drawbacks when you have to maintain a flagging interest.

so there are palaces,tombs,railway stations,bus stations,cities,towers,bridges,floating cities,flying cities.

Perhaps you could look at the differing house styles around the world and do stuff from a particular area.Like the lovely art deco buildings in America or the UK or the rest of Europe?

That's where my imagination failed me

My biggest problem in Bryce(apart from the rocks) is the damned vegetation particularly trees.Bryce trees (well my bryce trees) all look the same.

Incognitas.

Please let me explain....... I do NOT want to specifically make objects to order for other users (although they would end up in Free Stuff as usual).
What I do want is to ask all the nice people here at Renderosity Bryce forum, if they have any ideas, in as much as, can anyone think of suitable objects that would be seen in such scenes as Landscapes. One suggested covered bridges... that is good. Now I just need a few more ideas.
My prime reason is to create a dialogue with other Bryce users within this forum/community, to create maybe something interesting that we can all discuss.

So, shall we discuss some ideas?

Firstly I never suggested that you were and I believe I gave you lots of suggestions that I thought you might enjoy as a project.I have to say I think that you have been less than gracious in some of your postings in this thread. After all you INVITED suggestions not the other way round.I would never have dreamed of offering unasked for opinions.

Have a nice day.

Sorry, just thought you didn't understand what I was after, but it's not unusual for folk to take things the wrong way... forums can be difficult since you can't see body language etc.
But thanks for wishing me a nice day. Here is a smiley to show i'm smiling. ๐Ÿ˜„ And thanks for your suggestions.

Excellent stuff, I have made a bridge for small streams so perhaps i'll pack that up and ship it over to Free Stuff as well.
The barn sounds like something I could create, and so is the water tower. Great contributions, thanks. ๐Ÿ‘
