I thought about entering this as a second image to the Extreme's contest, since it inspired me, but just felt it wasn't right.  So, here it is, (sans fireballs because I couldn't get anything to my satisfaction that didn't choke out my computer.  I used a TON of lights and a few negative lights to give a lot of depth to this image.  Comments, critical, cajoling and congratulatory are welcome.

Awesome...well worth the time spent...see my comment there.. ...

Once in a while I look around,
I see a sound
and try to write it down
Sometimes they come out very soft
Tinkling light sound
The Sun comes up again

Thanks Bobby!

The wake is actually postworked a little.  Most of it is in Bryce, as transparent trees with "glass" leaves.  I played with the reflections and transparency a little, and of course killed all ambience.  Then in Photoshop, I use the smudge tool to make it look like motion and give direction to the spray and eliminate the "leaf" aspects.

I'm bummed I couldn't do the fireballs.  The lighting was too intense and I already had so much smoke it was overkill, even for cool.  And postwork... nope... not even close to blend-able.

The "darkons" as you called them were a first for me.  Never did those before, and gave quite interesting results.  Gained some depth I didn't have before.

Still working to get into the top 50 yet. :c)  That's my goal.
