I'm not really sure the purpose of this thread. If you're expecting to see changes based on what members say, don't hold your breath. Renderosity has their own way of deciding on changes, and they mostly don't involve taking into consideration what we want.

Do you create your own content?

No. I can't model, and texturing is way too tedious and boring.

Do you create content for other poser users and share them as freebies?

The only thing I've managed to make and share with anyone is a set of Poser lights and some texture tiles.

Do you sell your content here ot at some other site?

Well, given that it seems that anyone can open a store here, I could probably get my lights and texture tiles in, but who would buy them?!  LOL

Do you make use of freebies?

OMG! YES! Absolutely! I am so grateful to people who have such talent to create things and the generosity to give them away!

Do you purchase content?

Yes.  Meshes and textures, and poses. I used to buy lights too but since I managed to figure out how to make my own I mostly make those myself, or tweak ones that I already have.

Do you like Work in Progress (WIP) threads by people whom really know their stuff?

They are of interest to others, so yes.  I do follow certain WIP threads if they are interesting, but for the most part the stuff is usually beyond my comprehension.

Do you want to see more or less WIP threads?

I am fine with WIP threads. Personally I don't really bother to follow them with great interest because I don't understand the whole process behind making things.  But I think those threads are great because they allow those who do have an interest to view and follow and even ask questions and ultimately learn.

Would you like to see/know what your favorite content makers are up to and have a chance to make input, or learn from the process?

Not really sure what you mean by this.

Would you like to see some of the top artists post WIP's of how they think through and put together a scene?

If you are referring to their promo images, yes.  However, the process that went into making the item really doesn't interst me because it's stuff that is way over my head.

Do you like busy general broad spectrum of topics forums or forums with fewer participants and more narrowly defined purpose?

I liked the Poser forum as it was from days gone by. A ones stop forum where I can see what is new for freebies and contests, and just a general place to ask questions, post findings, and generally learn about Posr.

I hate the fact that there is such compartmentalization. There are way too many forums here and some forums are nearly completely dead, yet they still exist. IE: Contest Forum. NO ONE even goes there.  I remember not long ago I got "spanked" for posting a thread in the poser forum linking people to a great sounding contest in the contest forum. Yet the very next day one of the moderators posted a similar thread in the Free Stuff forum and when called on it, said that they were just trying to generate interest in the contest, and the thread remained for weeks. Yet it wasn't ok for me to do that.

Poser contests should be allowed in the Poser Forum, not suffled off to a forum that most peole don't even know exists.

Would you like to see some of the less busy rendo forums consolidated, or even brought under the umbrella of Poser forum?

Yes.. Absolutely! As I already said above there are away too many forums, and they are way too compartmentalized to the point that many are nearly dead.

The Paint Shop Pro forum used to be quite active. Now it's lucky to get one or 2 threads per day. Someone suggested changing the name to "Corel Forum" to encompass all things Corel because Corel is changing Paint Shop Pro to a more photo application and many are switching to Corel Draw. I thought that was a good idea. However the way Renderosity does things they will probably create a whole separate forum called "Corel Draw."

Would you like to see new forums?

God no! We have more than enough of them.

Would it bother you if vendors and freebie makers were allowed to talk about their projects in here?

No. I would love it if they did their WIP threads here. However, if they are advertising the release of their commercial products, I think that should still be done in the Merchants Forum.

Galleries - more categories or less?

The galleries should be sorted by theme, not by application created in. Especially since many use Poser or Vue or Bryce or Carrara etc to make their scene. It's stupid to have images sorted by program because the program(s) the images were created in is irrelavent and the main thing is the end result.

Content - what's a bigger consideration for you, price or quality?

Both. I like quality. But at the same time this is a hobby for me and not a business and I don't make money off of my hobby, so price is a consideration.

Are there things I didn't think of asking here, that you want to share your opinion on?

Probably, but I can't think of any off the top of my head right this minute.

How long is a piece of string?

I guess it depends on the size of the persons' butt !!!
