Most 2000AD fans felt the movie wasn't that true to the comics, in those he never removed his helmet, would never kiss Hershey etc etc. It's kinda like if they made a straight superman movie and he looked like homer simpson :)

I thought that was probably what you meant.  Movies usually aren't too accurate when it comes to the original source material. 

That's one thing I liked about the Silent Hill movie.  Most movies based on video games are totally off the wall, but Silent Hill was relatively accurate with a few exceptions to make the movie work.
