Checked and my UAC was already turned off. I don't know whether it was or not back when I was having problems....Thanks for the suggestion though, and I'll remember it for the future - you never know when something might come in handy!

Sounds like a sweet machine! I thought about switching to a Mac with this upgrade, but decided against it just because of the hassle and extra $$ to get all my programs switched. Also, basically I'm lazy - don't want to learn a new operating system and it only takes me a couple of hours to build a new windows PC. On a Mac you're pretty much stuck with what they give you for components aren't you? Can't build your own?
