I thought the original rule was two simultaneous downloads, not more. And this rule isn't new, it was already valid when I joined for the first time, more than two years ago. So it took some time to get what I wanted, but that's OK for me.

Probably, the business model doesn't work if all people just join for very short time, downloard everything and then wait some years before subscribing again. Bandwith costs money, it's that simple. As Penguinisto said, their site, their rules. Or would you like to pay more for faster downloads?
