Hi - I am trying to get the perfect render for a scene using VUE 6 pro studio.  I found the sticky post about rendering options very helpful and have made multiple sequentially numbered renders  (render to disc) of the same scene. 

Does anyone have any tips for a simple way of keeping track of what the render setting were for a particular render .bmp?  I indicate some of the major settings in the file name itself.  Ideally there might be some automatic way to "dump" the render setting to a .txt  file with the same name as the .bmp.

Render settings are found in the environment folder of your Vue application folder, they have the ".urs"  extention.
Can't you just save your own settings? Maybe it is Infinite & xStream only.

you can only save render settings in infinite or XStream Bruno

Also be very careful...,...too..if your flicking through sunsets...you might just pick one with an embedded radiosity...suddenly your scene jumps to 3 hour renders!

Don't forget the render area!  You can render just a tiny portions of the file (say just a face, or a part that has lots of detail).  Then adjust your render settings.  No need to render the entire scene until you are pretty sure the settings will work. 

@ Frank, actually I meant that saving your render settings might be Infinite & xStrem only.

lbjvg - When doing test renders with different render settings I will name each picture test #1, test #2 etc. I will save each manual render settings with the same name so I know what's what.
