Just finished watching part of "Arthur", in which Gwenhwyver not only joins the final battle, but, unlike the head-to-toe armor of the men, she's wearing a halter top and mini-skirt. I don't know about you, but seeing a 90-lb, scantily clad woman whacking at a huge, armored Saxon makes absolutely no sense. Compared to that, a firefighter who replaced the bulky britches with fishnet stockings doesn't seem that weird.
