Quote - The larger your runtime the longer it will take Poser to start up.
Nothing personal Acadia, I consider you a friend you know that, but I get fed up seeing this one come up all the time, it's an inaccurate statement!!
I have one runtime which is huge set up in sub folders and each week it gets bigger and each week my start up time NEVER gets longer and in fact since going to 64 bit, it's quicker than before.
Start up time depends on a lot more than runtime size, any number of things could cause it to slow down including Viruses, trojans and not defragging often enough!!Rant over!!
I have a gazillion external runtimes, and I notice a huge difference with poser's load time depending on the runtime that I have last used before exiting Poser.
My V3 clothing runtime is huge, and if I exit Poser after having used that runtime, I notice that Poser takes longer to load the next time I open it. Compare that with my lights runtime which is quite small. When I exit Poser with the lights runtime being the active runtime upon exit, when I next open Poser it opens almost instantly.
I do believe that there is some truth to the size of the runtime linked to Poser upon start up.
