As far as I know, PP through P7 will convert RSR's made for P4 to PNG's automatically.

And P1 through P4 used .bum format for bump maps. Which basicly were bitmaps (.bmp) that are very large in file size. P4pro changed from them to jpg's which are MUCH smaller in file size.
