I am fully cognizant of the fact that if I'm going to dish it out: then I'd also better be prepared to take it. Everyone who chooses to participate in an open debate would do well to realize & understand the implications of that formula.

That's just it -- walking on eggshells essentially means "no debating allowed". Or at least "no strong opinions allowed". Do we really want that to be the rule in here.........? Some no doubt do. I'm not one of them.
