Well, I'll see what I can do at any rate, if I can do something low stress on system resources I'll have it available as a realtime option, however if it is going to be high stress then it will be moved off into the "dynamics" area, something that can be calculated prior to render or as part of a schedule batch if you prefer. If it's somewhere in the middle I'll probably have both available, you can do it realtime if you have the hardware to support it, or for systems with less available resources you can do all the dynamics calculations together prior to render, or as part of a scheduled batch.
I'd like to make fast as useable as possible even on lower resource systems, and at some point I'd really like to look into a distributed computing core so that even very low resource systems can benefit from FAST.
Naturally that will probably be much later in development, a lot of groundwork to be laid first, but I think it will prove feasible in the long run.
