Yeah, it works quite well.When i had a lower end machine this is the method i used due to the wayt Vue handles the import process. you know how it is with the large ass Poser textures that everyone finds necessary to use and Vue so desperately despises... Well, this helped me out a bit with memory issues. Hope it works for you to(;
