Thank you for the IPP information. 

I assumed that the hair was a prop since it was loaded from the props folder, however, that was obviously an erroneous assumption.  Since the hair will conform, **I guess that I am dealing with a "hair figure." ** I will therefore follow your advice vis-a-vis the suggested parenting from within IPP.
