Quote - It doesn't need to be in the main poser directory. You can point the installer where you want but it will only install if it see's a poser.exe file there. Again, this doesn't need to be a copy of the actual .exe, you can create an empty text file if you wish and rename it to poser.exe

The runtime/libraries/!DAZ directory needs to be in the main install path though otherwise things take a long time to load. You can simply copy the directory there and rename the original or remove it.

I use external runtimes and have a fake poser.exe file in each of them that I made from a text file.

It's been a while, but I'm pretty sure that I didn't have an option to cancel the installation and look for another directory to install V4.1 into, like I do with the other .exe installers from Daz. So I installed V4.1 into the main Poser 6 runtime and then made copies of all of the files and put them into my V4.1 external runtime and left the originals in the Poser 6 runtime folder.

For my external runtimes, I always make a copy of the !DAZ folder and put it into the Poser 6 runtime just to give Poser the boost it needs to find the delta files.

I'll go back and try installing V4.1 again and see if it allows me to point it to a different folder.  I haven't bothered installing V4.2 because I didn't want to lose my ability to use V4.1.  And I'm ticked that you need V4.2 to be able to get and use Aiko 4.
