actually a skeletal system isn't that far fetched. Even programs cheaper than Poser have one. But I doubt that they will do anything that would make their model library obsolete... and that certainly would. They could just improve upoin their existing format. Collision detection is probably reaching. Most users computer would slow downn doing the needed calculations in realtime. Hair, has nothing to do with Poser really. Depends on how open architecture the new rendering engine is and support for model shapes. Simply put the lightwave hair solution Sasquatch could be ported over given the next Poser engine was open enough, and it would simply use polygon lines to determine where to draw the hair. Of course without dynamics the only animation you would see is through morph targets. Hair in every high end program is drawn in in post process by a plugin, that uses poly or spline guides to determine where to draw the fake volume.
