I'm quite happy with my upgrade. The software feels a lot more robust and stable, especially if you have a 64 bit system/OS. I just upgraded my hardware to a Vista 64 quad core computer with 8 gigs of ram. The renderings are a lot faster when you go 64 bit with Pro, opening libraries even when that is not 64 bit feels faster too. The overall response of Pro feels faster than Poser 7. And finally what really made me decide to upgrade was the ability to send my render to the Queue and be able to keep working on Poser. I do a lot of animations so it is awesome to be able to send a job to be rendered to Poser's Queue and continue working . My only gripe is that it won't do video only images but I guess it makes sense because with stills its harder to loose your work if something goes wrong. Most changes in this version are under the hood but Poser has enough features that work good that other competing software has not been able to match yet that make me want to keep current. I do wish there had been more improvements and advanced features, especially for animation but it seems that from here things can only get better. So yes for $200.00 the upgrade to Pro from 7.0 is well worth and guarantees you the cheapest upgrade path once Poser 8 or Poser 8 Pro is released.
