Well I've finished *something* although it isn't the same as the original Star Trek nacelle bulbs. I decided to deviate from the original, and make them look interesting, using current rendering technology. :)

Follow the link. Theres a zip file there, and a movie file if you want to see them animated.

If you really want those old 60's style mechanical props, with Christmas lights in them, let me know. I sort of got them working, but they looked boring.

These props do not require ray-tracing and they render pretty fast.

Renderosity forum reply notifications are wonky. If I read a follow-up in a thread, but I don't myself reply, then notifications no longer happen AT ALL on that thread. So if I seem to be ignoring a question, that's why. (Updated September 23, 2019)
