Quote - I used to have the Poser 4.03 update on a CD but now it says some sort of cyclic redundancy error. I've checked the usual Curious Labs/Trend Micro sites but they don't have it anymore. I've even done a thorough search on yahoo and google with no results. Does anyone have it that could email it to me or post it somewhere so I can download it? Any help would be SURELY appreciated.
A cyclic redundancy error means there is a bad spot on your CD. Have you tried (gently)
cleaning your CD. Wipe from the center out with a soft, dry, clean cloth. (not in circles).
If that doesn't work there are data recovery programs, such as this one:
http://www.softwarepatch.com/software/cd-recovery.html
which is free.
If this is happening on other disks, your CD drive may be going bad.
