As far as animating walk cycles: I once found a site that had a series of images of a horse at walk/trot/canter -- I used these images as sources for creating key frames. Worked pretty well.

Yes,  Tapioca may hold the key to the meaning of life.  Won't know until I finsh this pint.  Gotta hurry the kids are lookin' for it.
