*i actually find the getting away from it part not so helpful if it's more than a few days.  creativity is a practice and a discipline like most things in life, and if you stop, well... you lose your focus and dull your skills.  it's not like you train for a race by not running.

*I beg to differ..... a lot. I was forced to stop using Poser for over 2 years, due to physical circumstances. When finally I was able to use my computer again and Poser (and other 3D appications), I found that I did not loose my focus at all, my skill weren't dull at all and my creativity was blooming. For me using Poser is like riding a bike or a car, you don't loose the skill even if you don't use it for a number of years. That's why I'm a 100% sure you can stop using Poser or any other application and focus on other things, the skills to use Poser will not dull and in the meantime you may regain creativity while not focussing on it.
