Here is something cute and handy from geeks.com...

2.5"/3.5" USB 2.0/eSATA SATA HDD Dock w/Card Reader & Hub, $40.

It's a ...

(1) USB 2.0 docking station for either a 2.5 inch or a 3.5 inch SATA HDD

(2) Flash card reader

(3) USB hub (2 ports)

(4) and has an additional eSATA port. 

In case you don't remember, YAG = Yet Another Gadget.

I like the look of that one!  It would be cool if it had a little screen on.

Yeah ...

But it doesn't seem to have even have a status LED -- that would be 1 pixel of your suggested screen.  [grin]
