Subject: Stupid newbie question

I often just disable the sunlight all together. It's more work and creates longer render times, but by placing radiant lights throughout your scene you have much more control over the lighting. This works best for indoor scenes and scenes that don't show much sky. The rest of the time you've got to have the sun to light up the sky... Even in daylight scenes with sunlight enabled, I usually use radiant light sources to fill in shadows, etc... I guess that's my photographer's mind at work. -ScottK
