A buddy of mine called me and woke me up telling me that terroists had attacked the WTC and to turn on the TV.

I saw the replay of the planes hitting the buildings, and then later saw the live images of the buildings falling.

We (my girlfriend and I) also nervously kept seeing the ticker text running across the news screen that an undisclosed amount of planes were also heading for Los Angeles (where I live)...this was later disproved, yet...the fear was there at the time. In spades.

We camped out in front of the TV in the livingroom for 3 days.
