I was getting ready to go down to the Metropolitan Transit Authority (MTA) office to appeal a denial for service on their Access-A-Ride.  I wanted to leave early to get down there just as the office open but for some strange reasons I just couldn't get my stuff together. I kept dropping things, papers kept falling out of folder, pick up wrong briefcase... everything that could go wrong actually went wrong on that day. I was at the end of my rope, when I knocked a cup of java off the desk onto my lap. (I was wearing a pair of white pants). And that's when I looked up at the TV to see the first plane hit the Tower, the same blasted tower where the MTA office was located.

My brother was in the other tower, where Verizon has its corporate clients services department. He was in the tower when the plane hit the first tower and alerted the others to get out. I am so glad that he made it out before the tower went down. He made it to safety.

Today 7 years later, we look back, grateful to have each other still alive.

I did this  while I was in school a year later as a special project. It was supposed to be a stamp honoring the Pentagon tragedy .
