I was having the error before updating the drivers.  Only certain figures would crash Poser as soon as they were loaded and I moved the mouse.  It would always crash three times, then on the fourth try the program wouldn't crash again even if I started a new doc and loaded one of the figures that cause it.

After updating to the latest driver the crash would keep happening, so I had to switch to software.  But now I've added Poser to the manage 3d programs and it stopped crashing.  Now I can use OpenGL preview again, hurrah.
