Go ahead and put yourself in the lucky catagory...It's all perspective. My hubby got ran over by a tractor a few years ago and  broke both his feet, both his ankle and his thigh. I know you don't feel like it, but compared to him you, are lucky...He considers himself lucky (and so do I) because if the thing hadn't stalled, it was have hit his back side and spine next. He also feels he is lucky because the doctors thought he would loose the one foot and he didn't.
I know it's hard to feel positive about things when you're in pain, but you will heal.
