It depends on the course content, areas of study and the institution - like on this course there was more time spent on managerial concepts rather than pure technical subjects. For example.. Information Strategies, E-Business and Business Ethics.
The only technical subject was Advanced Web Design Techniques.
So if the course had more stuff like Advanced Web Design, it would've led to a BSC (Batchelor of Science). You get the honours bit because you do a Disseration.
Theres also vocational based technical courses just below degree level - the HND (Higher National Diploma). You can 'credit' an HND towards a degree course as well via a route known as a Top-Up. Normally topping up still means 2-3 years study, to top up in a year means a good HND and a series of entry interviews. Some uni's make you take entry exams as well.
