Subject: Seeking character creation programs.

Daidalos ( ) posted Sun, 26 October 2008 at 6:21 PM · edited Sun, 01 December 2024 at 12:25 PM

Hi everyone, I could use the community's advice/help.

See I'm seeking some sort of program that is free/low cost  wich would allow me to create monster like creatures using D3. For example I have the sci fi morphs for M3 wich I like and the vampire clans for M3, wich I also like, but as for D3 I'm having no luck finding anything.

I'd prefer premade sets, such as the scifi morphs, and vampire clans, but I can't find any.  I'm willing to make my own morphs if need be, if I can find a program wich will allow me to do so, that is if not free, at least low cost. I've checked out zbrush and the Head morphing program by blacksmith3d but those A) won't run on my system, (unless there are older versions still available wich I couldn't find) and B) Are kind of steep in price for my low budget.

If anyone has some ideas, or suggestions, and would please sitemail me an addy or link etc....I would appreciate it very much.

Thanks,

Daidalos

There is a character morph set for David at DAZ which is Scifi oriented.  Here is the link if you haven't seen it all ready.

Again, if nothing else, Cinema 4D R11 demo with interPoser Pro (IPP).  Although running in demo mode, you can run Cinema 4D indefinitely, save disabled.  But, you can import Poser figures with IPP, build your morphs, and export as Inj/Rem poses (despite C4D being saved disabled!).  FREE $4000 solution. :)

C makes it easy to shoot yourself in the foot. C++ makes it harder, but when you do, you blow your whole leg off.

A HOMELAND FOR POSER FINALLY

It'd be a pain in the rear to do, but have you looked at Wings3D or Hexagon?

WARK!

Thus Spoketh Winterclaw: a blog about a Winterclaw who speaks from time to time.

(using Poser Pro 2014 SR3, on 64 bit Win 7, poser units are inches.)

Winter claw I have wings and hexagon. Both are a pain to use for this sort of thing.

Thanks everyone, as it turns out I'd already purchased the character morphs for D3 and didn't realize it. So I'll just download those and try to use them.

I'm pretty sure that there's something that let's you share morphs between Mill Figures. They don't come out exactly the same but fairly close.

My mind's drawing a blank, but I'm 99.9 percent sure there is a morph-swapping option out there for use within Poser.

If anyone knows of such a thing, I'd love to get my hands on such a thing.

It might be Morph Manager that I'm thinking of:
http://netherworks-studios.com/shoppe/index.php?main_page=product_info&products_id=76

It's free anyway and mentions transfering morphs between CR2s.

You should ask over at the Daz forums for other solutions - people seem to be really quick on these sort of requests over there.

Cheers

Give Blender a shot. I created the Nosferatu character in it. I also did the morph on the femme head in it.

There's also the putty tool in Poser which can be used to create morphs.

There's a great tutorial somewhere here on transferring morphs between The Freak and M3, but I cannot find it.  The best I could find was this post:

There's a better one buried somewhere around 2003.
