Here's that second eye with the phantom3D morphs deployed.

It helps. But the dysfunction is more than moving the objects up or down can heal. The lashes ought to stay where they belong when the eye shape is morphed, at least within reaoson.

They really need to be fixed in the base and given the proper deformations when the eyes are morphed, If the lashes had been in the proper place to begin with in the original mesh then they would morph properly with the eyes, I wonder if Daz will go back and fix it? I couldn't do it because it would entail redoing the base and that would be copyright violation :(

we will see. The history of my attempts to get them to fix the underarm crease when I had a morph for that....things a little better now, but still not wonderful.

I'm thinking it will take them awhile. because once they put the lashes in the right place then they will have to redo all the morphs that effect the eyes. I don't know how many morphs that is but probably some work. Personally though I think it would be best to get it done right away so that all the future morphs that effect eye shape will be good  Just my .02

So as long as we don't change the shape of the eyes the lash fixes will be fine but if we spin any of the shaping dials then the fix will not look as good??

Yes, you see because the lashes are part of the head group so morphs to the eyes actually will morph the lashes back to their original messed up state, since that is the condition they were in when the original eye morphs were created, but these lash morphs should still be able to mitigate the problem, in most cases.

Okay guys, here's a little update.
I had a sitemail over at Daz about the lash problem from their head of QA and passed on the details to him.
I also mentioned the ThunderThighs to him.
Operaguy, with your permission, may I forward your renders and observations to the Daz QA while I got an ear over there?

(Actually I'll just point him at the thread , but I bet he knows about this one anyway. :))

blink blink

DAZ is going to fix the eyelash problems and the thunder  thighs?

Silke ( ) posted Thu, 06 November 2008 at 5:39 PM

Well, yes. :)
I forwarded my PZ3 on to Daz QA and they are looking at it.
I've also pointed 'em at this thread, because there are some very good comments here that might help them fix it, and cut down on the time it takes for them to pinpoint the problems.

Not sure on the Thunder Thigh, but I did mention it. :)
The lash is being looked at though.

**DAZ_bfurner on page 5 of the thread at Daz said they were on the issue and asked for input.

Silke ( ) posted Thu, 06 November 2008 at 6:40 PM

Yup already pointed Stephen at the thread.
They are working on it, but it'll take a while, since it's not just the placement, but also the morphs they need to look at. (And there are a lot of morphs in that eye)

It'll take time, and I don't mind waiting a little while. Knowing they are trying to fix it is worth it, and I rather wait a bit longer, than have them rush through it, and it not being fixed properly.
Good work takes time. :)
