To respond to the original poster's question: DAZ is a big store like Walmart , and Rendo is more like a really big mall with a bunch of small stores.

As such, it's a different buying experience for the different reasons. DAZmart buys the items from the artists at a one time payment, and resells multiple items. I've bought a ton of stuff from DAZ over the years, but I have noticed their slacking off in both quality and amount of Platinum Club items for the $1.99 price-tag.

At Rendo, the individual merchants are their brokers, makers and sellers. Rendo only holds the title to the place, charges rent (a piece of the action) and runs the sales through the central clearing house here in Nashville (Where I have to pay sales tax on each Rendo purchase).

Where some merchants sell blah merchandise, others sell fantastic stuff. Folks like Toshiyo,ODGM, corflek-gnorg (sp--I can't check and post.)and Ratracer and many others are guarantees of quality. Once you buy a good item, you should make a note of that maker's name. I do.

I go look them up and see if they did anything new.  If so, and I have the money, I may make a purchase if possible. It's the difference between a Mall and DAZmart
