The thing is, none of us whom 'got in trouble' here were advertising our own stuff. 
In my case, I saw people mention other prodcuct releases and sales a number of times, and I benefitted from that. Actually last time stonemason released something I missed it's introductory sale (because I don't hang out at DAZ all the time), and wound up buying it full price.

Like I said, I saw a fair number of new freebies and products announced in past weeks, so I thought it was ok.  Then, slam, all of a sudden it's a big deal. Big enough to ding you for TOS violation, no warning or heads up that they are changing their policy on how to enforce the rule.  As I said before, that's just not right, and creates ill will.

Makes me regret saying just few days ago how nice Rendo staff is.
