I use dynamic cloth, but not the hair.
I also use dynamics on parts of conforming items.
For instance, if you take a conforming dress, and you want the skirt to drape naturally -- then put dynamics on the skirt. (i.e. fire up the cloth room and clothify the skirt)
I do it all the time, it works a treat.
