i really understand what you feel for your cat! i have two ferrets since 2 years and i can't imagine a life without them. they bring us so much happiness when they play and make funny noises :)
when i'm sad i just go to see the sleeping little animals and stroke them 'til i feel better. it's a great feeling. they give us joy and we give them joy... we want to make their life better... they are really like children for me too...
