I'm sorry if my reply above seems intended to question the credibility of political leaders. That was not my intention. It was the second phrase that I wanted to emphasize:

"I believed the photographers".

I thought that was a beautiful phrase... To put so much trust in the people who made those photographs. Makes you ponder about how 'credible' some of our own (overly manipulated) photographs are...
