Um, you can post links to offsite freestuff.  Most freestuff is offsite, since we don't host any of it.  (you can pay for locker space, giving you some space and bandwidth, but with the way freestuff always goes, your bandwidth flies in a hurry).  We have a forum for freestuff, and, since it's inception, we have allowed "Hey, here's a heads up about my freebie, learn more at this thread" and a link to the thread in the freebie forum posts.
