Poser 7 has the 'large address aware' thing turned on by default and will therefore use up to 3Gb RAM if available under a 32-bit OS (XP or Vista).
You'll need to fork out for Poser Pro if you want to take maximum advantage of a 64-bit OS, at least for FireFly rendering.
Also consider that Photoshop CS4 is 64-bit capable under Windows Vista64, the main advantage being the ability to access large amounts of RAM (I handle image files in the 500Mb - 1Gb size range on a daily basis).
