Well, 3DS Max has many different options for rigging and much better weight mapping ect, but you also can't use it in Poser. I don't know about any other rigging options that will work in poser. Read a few comments on something called riggbox. Just the Daz rigging tools by themselves though are only 20.00 and are enough to do most rigging. It's the Pro bundle that's 125. bucks. I got the bundle because with it you can easily do all the erc and set up your magnets, make morphs that span groups ect. But you're right it's spendy. But I gotta say I would pay twice that tacked onto poser's price if poser had some tools like them just to save myself the horrible nightmare of using clumsy inadequate tools for something as delicate and precise as rigging and joint settings. It's like trying to paint a masterpiece with a broom.
