This is a known issue. Most Vue'ers try to avoid these planes to be very noticeable (there are various tricks, like slanting the trees a bit near the camera, for example). But look at this image, for example:

Thank you for your answers, from the posted pictures it seems to less affects conifers, where "leaves" are much smaller. I've seen a tut. at geek at play explaining how to rotate the trees (a maple) in the foreground to avoid this problem.
Are there any other useful tricks to know regarding this problem, concerning some trees ?
