I too used to do things exclusively in Poser, but since I got Carrara, I haven't even opened Poser except to install new stuff into my library so I can use it in Carrara. It renders faster (about ten times faster by my guess) and looks more realistic, and it has cool stuff like working caustics, blurry reflections, and sky light and indirect lighting. Plus posing is easier once you've gotten used to Carrara's translation tools. I never felt the need to do anything in Poser anymore, and I'd heartily recommend any Poser user (or DS user, for that matter) to give Carrara a try. Chances are you'll love it.
