Poser - OFFICIAL F.A.Q (Last Updated: 2024 Nov 29 1:45 am)
Hi netta,
a pec ........... is what a bird does
No, seriously, the pectoral muscles are what girls like to exercise to firm up or lift their, um, er , feminine attributes in the upstairs department ... if ya get my drift. If you grab just in front of your armpit, you can grab your pectoral muscle.
The biceps are the large muscle on top of the upper arm when the arm is held out straight. This muscle can be developed by doing pull ups or, as some refer to 'em, chin ups.
The triceps are on the opposite side (bottom of) the upper arm when held outright. These muscles may be developed by doing push ups.
Oops, I don't think that is what you were axeing, wuz it? ........... sorry 'bout dat.
cheers,
dr geep

this link http://training.seer.cancer.gov/module_anatomy/unit4_4_muscle_grp.html may be of help, it seems to have the major groups labelled .
Quote - I believe what netta is asking is ...
What is the name of M4's parameter dial that controls the pectoral muscle(s), etc?
Am I correct?

It's the "etc" one that interests me

chesteses, breasteses, etc.?...;) I think if you know the basic body part groupings as they're UVMapped in Poser, it probably breaks down to say, left chest/shoulder would be a group of dials, etc.
Apollo, has a 5-part 'etc'., I've had to hide that many in my renders of him...;) Thank heavens there's a script for that...;) hide the gentiles, or something like that...;)
Can you give us some sample names of 'mystery dials', and we can perhaps point you to the right part of Gray's Anatomy?
I wish I'd said that.. The Staircase Wit

Hey Acadia,

So ifn yuze really, really want to know ...

bnetta -- those guy name dials are full body morphs, they don't affect a specific muscle group.
I asked the same thing, because spinning a dial called "Fred" means nothing to me -- spinning a dial called "Asian" gives me a hint of what I can expect.
It annoys the crap out of me, actually, because I haven't a clue what they look like, what they do, what they morph. Which means I don't usually use them at all.
To me those are simply totally useless dials, because of the way they are named.
There is no muscle pack for M4 yet, and the M3 muscle pack has proper muscle names on the dials. Like, Pectoral.

There is M4 Morph++ which does contain the muscle dials. Although you haven't grasped the concept of muscle morphing, it would be considered a very important aspect of pose enhancement for a better image. Putting aside the muscle beach concept many individuals introduce into their images, there are instances when you would like to introduce a bit of everyday realism into your models. For example, you would like to convey a character lifting a heavy object. In reality, you have biceps and forearms straining, bulging to hoist the object up off the ground. You would like to duplicate those appearances to breathe credibility into the scene with the least effort of manipulation.
I find having those dials available increase my options to composing a better render.
Very limited muscle dials, hborre.
I'm still waiting for proper muscle morphs, particularly the leg ones and abs ones.
M4 Morphs++ contains:
Upper Torso: Traps size, Lats size
Chest: None
Arm/Hand: Biceps Flex, Biceps Flex Peak, Triceps Flex, Triceps Flex Peak, Triceps Relax
Lower Torso: None
Glute: Glute size, RaiseR, RaiseL, FlexR, FlexL
LegFoot: None
I would hardly call any of those proper muscle dials, since they are incredibly limited.
Not to mention, the bodybuilder morph ate steroids.

Wait till ya go down gym train as 1 day as about squat a female power lifter came in, and bloody nora looked like an elephant in little shorts.
Just like some of them over weight yank women seen in litttle shorts and varacus veins have seen when in yank land.
But 1 thing put me of training is when female body builders come in and thier all muscle like looking at men, i like women who train ta get a sexy body aspecialy thier calves.
And have some bouncies up top as well.

The pop-up pictures on David's and Michael 3's body morph pages at DAZ shows various muscles which pertain to a lot of the morphs.
thank you raven
those pics are exactly what i was wanting to know.......lol
