Hi folks we have limited power so I thought I'd get on and say hi and that it's a mess here in NH.
While we have power it goes on and off and sometimes stays off for hours. Also the winds have picked up here a lot so any loose branches or line are more than likely coming down.

I know there are a lot of fellow Granite Staters here in the forums too and most likely you will not be hearing from them for a while they are saying that all power could be restored next week. Meanwhile the entire state under an emergency declaration by the Governor. Just about all the schools in the southern part of NH are closed.

Hope to see you all later!

Sorry to hear about that.

What's this ice storm thing anyways?  We've got 70 degree temperatures and 86% humidity down here.  😕

WARK!

I'm from the NY area and heard about this storm causing havoc in the New England region.  Good luck and keep warm.  It can be brutal.

I was lucky. In NE MA the temp climbed high enough on Friday night to turn the freezing rain into plain old rain sometime overnight.  Still, power was out for about 13 hours from Friday 2:00 am to 3:00 pm Saturday.  Luckliy, my wood stove proved its worth.
It's been spotty.  One house has power but across the street they're in the dark.  A friend about 10 miles north hasn't had electricity since Friday.
And the high temp today was 61.  Go figure.

Good luck and stay warm.

oooo I was also lucky here in RI, im only 15 minutes from the Uxbridge MA border and we missed all the ice that Worcester and those areas got..
Hoping things get fixed up fast for Ya'll.

I'm in NH.  We went black at midnight this past Thursday, and I only got power back today at 3:00.  Its been a very looooooooong weekend.  Cold too.   Tonight I finally get to take a hot shower!

I was told that California don't have rains which is the reason the song "There is no rain in Southern California" was made until 2000 came and rain started to fall. Now its been raining all the time since last night.

Now the news shows that for the first time in history, the desert state of Las Vegas is experiencing snow.

These weather phenomenon is beginning to creep me out.  Maybe Global Warming is more serious than I thought.

Hi all,

Well it's been 24 hours and no power flickers or random outages I think it's all fixed in my area now we are expecting some snow tonight and Wed. Hopefully it will not hamper the rest of the state from getting power. Places to the west of me were hit really bad.

TheOwl, don't let the weather creep you out logically the weather has always been a changing event since the birth of the earth. For anyone to believe that severe extreme weather patterns have not occurred for millions of years this planet has been around need to think again. One must remember humans are the newcomers we haven't been around as long as the earth nor had the technology to track weather patterns so we haven't been keeping score for that long.
But it doesn't mean that mankind CAN'T effect his ecosystems.

@PaganArtist:  Don't worry, the Earth has it's way of correcting itself.  Even if it means extinction for several hundred species and the rearrangement of landmasses.  Just keep in mind, of all the creatures inhabiting this planet, there is only one species of humans.

I don't worry the mother's cycles existed before humans and will long after. The wheel never stops turning.
