I have been using poser for creating digital graphic novels, comics, art, and graphic design -if you know how to push poser you can get some very good results even pre post work.
I have also begun to use Poser for figure drawing in place of a live model. I teach drawing at a local college, and have begun to find Poser indispensable in place of a live model- there is no budget for a live one. Of course the proportions are not totally accurate, but they do the trick, and it's easy to create a bunch of simple poses for renders. Even a couple of colleagues have expressed interest in learning Poser.
It's kind of actually funny seeing the finished drawings of V4 and M4 in crazy action poses.
