But poser is definitely very much faster for me than carrara on my mac puter.  I have 16 gig ram.
I would like to see how carrara works using transposer but I use poser pro with multiple external runtimes so I can't get transposer to work yet.

You have 16GB of RAM and it's slow?  My system only has 4GB and it flies.  Are you running a lot in the background?  With 16GB it should be very fast.
