For my money, D|S is really doing it for me at the moment - though, for me, it is a feeder into a third party app.

I would consider myself a fringe user, but I'm LOVING Daz Studio in conjuction with V4 Level Of Detail meshes / characters + morphs and selected textures. Then again, I'm not rendering in Poser or Daz Studio. 

I recently and regretfully  purchased Poser 7 at Content Paradise's reduced price for recent OS change and to maintain support for Mil 3 and earlier content, which I will no longer use due to their exorbitant and unacceptable high polygon counts.
