Social Security lawyers are a laugh! I had one when I was turned down on diasablity. He sat in the judge's chamber and didn't help at all. I was refused SSI or Medicaid on a state level. I appealed and went down to DFS for the hearing. They had a lawyer to do the interview for DFS and as luck would have it, I went into , not one but, several seizures and he said enough. He passed me for medicaid, then I passed for SSI and at last my social security. It was a two year battle. If your state has medicaid, apply for it and SSI. If you get those through, you'll get the social security too. My thoughts are with you and if I get a few dollars to spare, I'll try to send but I'm not sure on that.
