Two possiblities here.
The material setup for Lorena has set the Diffuse value of the materials to zero, or the Diffuse color to black. You can check that in the Material room
Your preview uses OpenGL hardware shading - if the Lorena shaders confuse the OpenGL shader engine, the image could turn out black. Switching off hardware shading should fix the problem.
