As far as using Word goes, yes, it will do it, but by the time you get Word open and a monster file opened in it and scccccrrrrolll all the way to the end, you can have half a dozen MAT/MAP/MOR files done in CR2Edit. With 75 or so automated tools now, there is very little reason to ever open a file in an editor, but if you do CR2Edit5's works completely in RAM.
